Hepatica Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting democratic organizations, values, and structures in a world that constantly faces challenges and change. With our mission for democracy, human rights, and societal development, we are committed to making a meaningful impact on local and global democratic development and contributing to a better future.

The Hepatica Foundation is a Swedish, SIDA-funded foundation under the Swedish party affiliated democratic aid system connected to the Sweden Democrats party in the Swedish Riksdag.

Our work

At Hepatica Foundation, our mission is to empower and support democratic movements and organizations on a global scale that are stakeholders in their local countries. We are committed to providing educational resources, training programs, political support functions and democracy-centered advisory to local, regional, and international partner organizations.

We believe that we can contribute to lasting positive, democratic development on an international level by providing the right resources and support to organizations and stakeholders engaged in their local democratic systems.

Strengthening democracy

We are dedicated to strengthening democratic structures and systems, ranging from training programs for youth engagement and female political participation to advisory support on democratic policy development. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, we work to empower local political parties, organizations, and civil society to participate actively in democratic processes and promote good governance.

Humanitarian aid

In times of crisis, Hepatica Foundation stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and Eastern Europe. We provide vital humanitarian aid to refugees and those affected by crises in the region. Our support extends to projects in education, healthcare, and environmental conservation, addressing the urgent needs of vulnerable communities.
